Training: Andrea trained at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama where she won the prize for comedy and also the Glasgow Citizens’ Theatre Award She has performed roles in classic and modern plays and has toured in Sweden Germany and around the UK Andrea returned to the UK in 2005 after 12 years in Hong Kong where she appeared in Sweeney Todd, Into The Woods, Blithe Spirit, Blood Brothers, Annie as well as compiling and performing in three one-woman shows
Theatre includes: Baby Jane in the Chamber musical Whatever Happened To Baby Jane, Charlotta Ivanova in The Cherry Orchard, Louka in Arms and the Man, Maria in Twelfth Night, The Snow Queen in The Snow Queen, Amanda in Private Lives, Golde in Fiddler On The Roof, Mayor Dotty McSpotty in Jack & the Beanstalk, Wicked Stepmother in Cinderella, Elsa in Park Avenue, Madame Fong in Flower Drum Song, Mrs Pearce in My Fair Lady, Andrea created the role of Mary Carson in The Thorn Birds the Musical, General Cartwright in Guys and Dolls, Aunt Harriet in Wilde in NewYork, Shirley Valentine Dragana in Real Dracula, Enid Beaucoup in Slay it with Music, Sheila in The Reluctant Debutante, a No 1 UK tour directed by Belinda Lang, Mother Bailey in It’s a Wonderful Life, Madame Begriffinfeld in Peer Gynt for the Ibsen Stage Company, Lizzie in Men Should Weep, Jekyll & Hyde, Marlene in Top Girls, Myra in Deathtrap, Cora in Old Goat Song, Margaret Fallowfield in Gay’s the Word and Mrs Hudson in The Revenge of Sherlock Holmes for which she was nominated as Best Actress in a Musical by the West End Offies.
Recent work includes: understudy to Sheila Hancock in Barking in Essex, Helen in a workshop of Reception a new musical, Jessie and Betty in Scottish Widows, Sister Mary Lazarus in Sister Act and Kate Cole, Cole Porter’s Mother in Pass The Porter.
