BILLY YOUTH THEATRE
Billy Youth Theatre, originally the idea of Billy Elliot writer Lee Hall, was an incredibly successful youth theatre project that ran for two years, 2009/2010 and 2010/2011, showcasing the imagination and talent of thousands of young people from England, Scotland and Wales in their own productions of Billy Elliot the Musical. The show was adapted exclusively for Billy Youth Theatre by Lee Hall and Martin Koch (Musical Supervision and Orchestrations). Some lucky groups were selected to perform in a number of showcases at major regional theatres around the country, attended by the Billy Elliot resident creative team, with some groups being further selected to participate in the Billy Youth Theatre West End Gala at the London home of Billy Elliot the Musical, the Victoria Palace Theatre. Should the project continue in the future, further details will be posted on the Billy Elliot website.
