Reece Barrett - Michael

Hi my name is Reece and I am 13 years old. I live in Exeter with my dad David, mum Lorraine, brother Aiden and sister Tabitha.

I have always had a passion for entertaining people. I attended Stagecoach for a year. Billy Elliot was my first ever audition and I went along for the experience. I passed the first stage but then had to learn how to dance. I spent twelve weeks with a fantastic dance teacher attending lessons, having private tuition and spending endless hours practising at home. I have been training in London for two months learning the routines and the accent.

I would like to thank everyone who has supported me on my journey, especially Jan at Stagecoach who mentioned the audition and Pollyanna from Buckingham Dance Studios for her patience, understanding and enthusiasm. To my Grandpa Paul who started the chain of events by paying for my Stagecoach lessons. I especially want to thank Nick at Billy Elliot for spotting my talent and giving me this wonderful opportunity, and the Billy Elliot company for all they have done for me. This is my dream come true.
