Adam Vesperman - Billy

Hi, my name is Adam Vesperman, I'm 13 years old, and I am from Seattle, Washington in the United States of America. I live with my mum, dad, my sister Delaney and my two dogs, Joey and Pepsi. I started dancing when I was 7, training in jazz and hip-hop and I am now trained in a variety of dance styles, including contemporary and ballet.

I did a few auditions around America, and I was the happiest boy on earth when I found out that I would be coming from America to London and train to be Billy Elliot. It's so hard being 5,000 miles away from my family and friends for so long, but it's worth it. Being Billy has changed my life so much - the training, experience, and best of all the wonderful people I get to work with. I miss my family a lot, but being in the show keeps us so busy that I don't really think about it too much. I am the 6th American Billy to star in the London production. I hope that I can maintain the high quality shown by my predecessors.

I would like to thank my mum and dad for driving me back and forth for dance classes everyday, and my sister for supporting me throughout this great experience. I would also like to thank the creative team of Billy Elliot for their efforts in training me to be the best Billy I can be. Last, but most definitely not least, I would like to dedicate my performance as Billy Elliot to my dance studio, Allegro Performing Arts Academy, for making me the dancer I am now. Without them, I wouldn't be here today.
