Tade Biesinger - Billy Elliot

Hi, my name is Tade Biesinger and I am 11 years old. I am from Bountiful, Utah and am thrilled to be performing in Billy Elliot! I come from a different part of the world than Billy, but like him, I have always loved dancing and am here because my family and community came together to help me pursue this amazing dream. My parents tell me I could dance before I could talk. I don’t know about that for sure, but all my life I’ve loved dancing. A few years ago, my mom signed me up at a studio in my hometown called Dance Impressions. The Director, Kandee Allen has been a difference maker in my life. She has helped me have many rich experiences. I attribute my training in her studio, as well as the exceptional training at Salt Lake City’s Ballet West Academy, to making this opportunity on Broadway possible. I was privileged to be awarded the West Coast Dance Explosion’s National Mini Male Elite Dancer in 2009 and the New York City Dance Alliance’s National Mini Male Outstanding Dancer as well as the overall Mini National Soloist Winner in 2010. I have performed several times in Ballet West’s Nutcracker and have played the role of Fritz for the last three years. I also performed in Ballet West’s performance of Madame Butterfly. I am here today because of the help of so many people. I’m grateful for the support of my family and community. I want to thank Kandee Allen, Vivian Colobella, the Dance Impressions staff, my company team, from Ballet West Peter Christie, Jeff Rogers, Cati Snarr, Jan Fugit, my tap teacher Michelle Harwood and all the kids I’ve danced with. I am grateful to my mom and dad who live in two different cities so I can be here, my brothers Briggs, Brooks and Cael, my sister Liberty, family and friends, my ward, the Ballam Family, my incredible school Legacy Preparatory Academy, Debbee Back, Elizabeth Hatch and my community for all of their support. I have been blessed to work with a world class staff at Billy Elliot, they’ve helped me so much. I also know I’ve been given a great talent by my Heavenly Father and am grateful for his influence in my life!
